✅ Description:
Bilahist contains bilastine, a selective histamine H1-receptor antagonist. During an allergic response, mast cells release histamine, which causes itching, swelling, and redness. By blocking H1 receptors, bilastine prevents histamine from exerting its effects, thereby reducing allergy symptoms.
Bilahist is an antihistamine medication used to relieve symptoms associated with allergic conditions, including itching, swelling, skin rashes, nasal congestion, and urticaria.
For optimal effectiveness, Bilahist should be taken on an empty stomach, either one hour before meals or two hours after eating, and preferably at the same time each day. The dosage and duration of treatment depend on the patient’s age, dosage form (tablet or syrup), and medical condition, as determined by the prescribing physician. Patients should continue the medication for the full prescribed duration and consult their doctor if symptoms do not improve.

- Usual dose: 20 mg once daily
Children
- Children aged 12 years and above: 20 mg once daily
