✔️ Side Effects:
Prolonged use may cause systemic absorption, especially in children. Local atrophic changes in the skin, pigmentation changes, and hypertrichosis may occur. Burning upon application may be experienced, especially if the mucous membrane is not intact.
✔️ Mode Of Action:
Betamethasone suppresses inflammation, phenylephrine induces vasoconstriction, and Lignocaine blocks nerve signals to provide pain relief.
✔️ Dosage & Administration:
Apply Methovate-R cream locally 2 or 3 times daily initially. Use the applicator if internal administration is required. Once the inflammation subsides, the once-daily application is usually sufficient.
✔️ Interaction:
Interactions with Methovate-R cream are not known.
✔️ Contraindications:
- Topical corticosteroids are contraindicated in primarily infected skin lesions caused by viral, bacterial, or fungal infections.
- Avoid use in dermatoses in children under 1 year of age.
✔️ Pregnancy & Lactation:
The safe use of topical corticosteroids during human pregnancy is not fully established. Avoid unnecessary use in large amounts or for a prolonged period.
✔️ Precautions & Warnings:
Avoid long-term continuous treatment and discontinue if sensitization occurs.

Store in a cool, dry, and dark place
