Pharmacology,
Vitamin C: Required for collagen formation and tissue repair; plays a role in oxidation/reduction reactions as well as other metabolic pathways, including the synthesis of catecholamines, carnitine, and steroids; also plays a role in the conversion of folic acid to folinic acid.
The role of vitamin E is to protect red blood cells against hemolysis; has a protective effect against free radicals for polyunsaturated fatty acids present in cell membranes; plays a role in preventing the oxidation of vitamins A and C.
