Pediatric: Not established (<18 years).
Geriatric: Dose adjustment may be needed due to reduced renal function.
Renal Dose Adjustments:
Mild impairment (CrCl ≥50 mL/min): No adjustment.
Moderate impairment (CrCl 30–50 mL/min): 50 mg once daily.
Severe impairment / ESRD (CrCl <30 mL/min or on dialysis): 25 mg once daily.
Standard Dose: 100 mg once daily OR 50 mg twice daily.
May be taken with or without food.
No clinically significant interactions with metformin, glyburide, simvastatin, rosiglitazone, warfarin, or oral contraceptives.
Slight increase in digoxin levels (no dose adjustment usually required).
