Pharmacology
Escitalopram is an oral selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI). Escitalopram is the sole S-enantiomer of the racemic bicyclic phthalate derivative citalopram. Escitalopram is at least 100 times more effective than the R-enantiomer at inhibiting 5-HT reuptake. Escitalopram has no or very little affinity for binding to serotonergic and other receptors, including alpha.
Dosage & Administration
Allergic Rhinitis During the Season-
Adults and children aged 12 and up:
- 60 mg twice daily, 120 mg once daily, 180 mg once daily
- In the event of impaired renal function, take 60 mg once daily.
Children aged 6 to 11 years old:
- 30 mg twice daily or 60 mg once daily in tablet form
- In the event of impaired renal function, take 30 mg once daily.
Children aged two to eleven years
- 30 mg or 5 mL twice daily suspension
- If you have impaired renal function, take 30 mg or 5 ml once daily.
Interaction
When combined with erythromycin or ketoconazole, the plasma concentration of Fexofenadine Hydrochloride increased. Fexofenadine Hydrochloride retention is reduced by stomach-settling agents containing aluminum and magnesium hydroxide.
Contraindications
Contraindicated in patients with known extreme touchiness to Fexofenadine Hydrochloride or any of its fixings.
Side Effects
Common side impacts are migraine, weakness, tiredness, queasiness, dry mouth, and gastrointestinal unsettling influences.
