Dulamet 200 HFA Inhaler is intended to treat and prevent asthma symptoms such as wheezing and shortness of breath.
It comprises two drugs: mometasone and formoterol. Mometasone belongs to the corticosteroid family of medicines. It helps by minimizing airway irritation and edema. Formoterol belongs to the long-acting beta-agonist family of medicines. It works by relaxing the muscles around the airways, allowing them to open up and allow you to breathe more freely. Controlling the symptoms of respiratory issues can reduce the amount of time spent away from work or school. Long-acting beta agonists (such as formoterol) may infrequently raise the risk of significant (sometimes deadly) asthma-related breathing issues when administered alone. However, combined inhaled corticosteroids and long-acting beta-agonists, such as this medication, have been shown to be effective, and do not raise the risk of severe asthma-related breathing difficulties.
The interaction of Dulamet 200 HFA Inhaler with alcohol is unknown. Please consult a doctor before consuming alcohol with Formost 200 Inhaler.
The safety of Dulamet 200 HFA Inhaler in pregnant women is unknown. Therefore, it is given to pregnant women only if the doctor thinks the benefits outweigh the risks.
It is unknown whether Dulamet 200 HFA Inhaler is excreted in human milk. It is given to breastfeeding mothers only if the doctor thinks the benefits are greater than the risks.
Dulamet 200 HFA Inhaler usually does not affect your ability to drive or operate machinery.
If you have any concerns regarding the use of Dulamet 200 HFA Inhaler in patients with Kidney problems, please consult a doctor.
Use Dulamet 200 HFA Inhaler with caution, especially if you have a history of liver diseases/conditions. The dose may be adjusted by your doctor as required.
Dulamet 200 HFA provides ease in breathing from bronchospasm (constricted airway muscles), where (Mometasone Furoate + Formoterol Fumarate) work together to relax airway muscles which results in the widening of airways providing relief from obstructive airflow and ease in breathing from bronchospasm associated with reversible obstructive airway diseases (such as asthma, COPD) in affected individuals.
If you miss a dose of Dulamet 200 HFA Inhaler, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
Dulamet 200 HFA Inhaler belongs to the respiratory combination medication primarily used to treat symptoms of asthma
Dulamet 200 HFA Inhaler contains two medications: Mometasone (corticosteroid) and Formoterol. (LABA - long-acting beta-agonists or bronchodilator). Mometasone works by working inside the nasal tube and airway lining cells to prevent the release of specific substances that cause inflammatory responses and allergies. As a result, it relieves sneezing, runny or clogged nose, and sinus discomfort. Formoterol relaxes and expands the muscles of the respiratory airways, making it simpler for asthma and COPD patients to breathe.
