By relaxing the smooth muscle in the bronchial tubes (airways) to increase airflow and relieve shortness of breath, Levostar Syrup aids in the treatment and prevention of bronchospasm. In patients with reversible obstructive airway disease, the bronchodilator medication Levostar Syrup is used to treat the symptoms of bronchospasm, such as wheezing, shortness of breath, chest tightness, breathing difficulty, coughing, etc.
Since the safety and effectiveness of usage have not been shown in clinical studies, it is not advised that this medication be given to children less than 6 years old.
The single isomer beta 2-agonist levosalbutamol differs from racemic salbutamol by the end of (S)-salbutamol. The key component of the action of the potent bronchodilator levosalbutamol is unrestricted by (S)-salbutamol. With measures that dramatically lower beta-mediated adverse effects, clinically similar bronchodilation can be achieved when compared to racemic salbutamol.
