Mylostat 500mg Capsule is used to manage:
- Resistant Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML)
- Locally advanced squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck (excluding the lip)
- Cervical cancer
Patients with a history of blood disorders or severe anemia.
Caution Required:
- Liver, lung, or kidney diseases
- Myelosuppression (low white blood cells, red blood cells, or platelets)
- Pregnancy: Not recommended due to potential harm to the fetus (Pregnancy Category D).
- Breastfeeding: Not recommended; can harm the infant.
- Children: Not established for safety and efficacy.
- Elderly (65+ years): Use with caution; close monitoring is required.

Always wear gloves when handling capsules; do not crush or open capsules.
- Solid Tumors:
- Intermittent Therapy: 80 mg/kg orally, every 3rd day.
- Continuous Therapy: 20-30 mg/kg orally, daily.
- With Radiation: 80 mg/kg every 3rd day, starting 7 days before radiotherapy and continuing indefinitely.
- Chronic Myelocytic Leukemia: 20-30 mg/kg daily.
- Polycythemia Vera: Start with 30 mg/kg for 1 week, then 15-20 mg/kg daily.
- Essential Thrombocythemia: Initial dose 15 mg/kg/day, adjusted by platelet count.
- Sickle Cell Disease: Start at 15 mg/kg/day, adjusted based on response.
- β-Thalassemia: 15-30 mg/kg/day.
