Pharmacology
This consists of two well-known and well-proven compounds: flupentixol, a neuroleptic with depressive and anxiolytic characteristics at modest dosages, and melitracen, a bipolar thymoleptic with activating qualities in low doses. When the chemicals are combined, they form an antidepressant, anxiolytic, and activating formulation. Flupentixol and melitracen achieve their maximum blood concentrations in around 4 hours after oral dosing. Flupentixol has a biological half-life of 35 hours while melitracen has a biological half-life of 19 hours.
Dosage and Administration
Adults: Usually 2 tablets orally daily in the morning and noon. In severe cases, the morning dose may be increased to 2 tablets.
Elderly patients: 1 tablet in the morning.
Maintenance dose: Usually 1 tablet orally in the morning. In cases of insomnia or severe restlessness, additional treatment with a sedative in the acute phase is recommended.
Interaction
Alcohol, barbiturates, and other CNS depressants may be enhanced by this tablet. Hypertensive crises may occur if MAO inhibitors are taken at the same time. The antihypertensive effect of guanethidine and similarly acting substances is reduced by neuroleptics and homoleptic, while the effects of adrenaline and noradrenaline are enhanced by homoleptic.
Contraindications
After a myocardial infarction, the immediate recovery period begins.
Bundle-branch conduction defects.
Narrow-angle glaucoma that has not been treated.
Intoxication with alcohol, barbiturates, or opiates.
Patients who have received an MAO inhibitor during the previous two weeks should not take this medication.
Because of its stimulating impact, it is not suggested for excitable or overactive patients, since it may exaggerate these traits.

Anfree tablet should preferably not be given during pregnancy and lactation.
Precautions & Warnings
If the patient has previously been given tranquilizers having sedative effects, they should be carefully tapered off.
