Saccharomyces boulardii is a probiotic yeast that survives stomach acid and colonizes in the intestines as temporary flora, supporting the growth of beneficial gut bacteria. It promotes immune function, digestion, and gut health through the following mechanisms:

✔️ Dosage & Administration:
For Adults:
- Antibiotic-Associated Diarrhea: 250–500 mg, two to four times daily.
- Clostridium difficile-related Diarrhea: 1 gram per day for 4 weeks (alongside antibiotic treatment).
- Acute Diarrhea Symptoms: 250 mg twice daily for 5 days.
- Crohn’s Disease: 250 mg three times daily for up to 9 weeks.
- Ulcerative Colitis: 250 mg three times daily.
- Helicobacter pylori Infection Treatment: 250–500 mg twice daily, taken along with standard therapy.
- Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS): 250 mg twice daily.
- Traveler’s Diarrhea Prevention: 250 mg once daily.

- Acute Diarrhea:
- Above 3 months: 250 mg twice daily for 5 days.
- Under 3 months: 125 mg twice daily for 5 days.

- Concurrent use with antifungal medications such as fluconazole, itraconazole, and terbinafine may reduce the effectiveness of Bolardi.
