Facid contains Sodium Fusidate, a potent topical antibiotic derived from Fusidium coccineum. It is highly effective against gram-positive bacteria, particularly Staphylococcus species, including antibiotic-resistant strains.

✔️ Mechanism of Action:
Fusidic acid works by blocking bacterial protein synthesis, specifically by stabilizing the ribosome-EFG complex during the elongation phase. This action halts the addition of new amino acids, stopping bacterial growth.

✔️ Dosage & Administration:
- Apply to the affected area 3–4 times daily.
- If using dressings (including nappies in babies), application may be reduced to 1–2 times daily.
