✅ Description:
- Clobetasol Propionate is a high-potency corticosteroid that reduces inflammation by stabilizing cell membranes and inhibiting inflammatory mediators like histamine and leukocytes.
- Salicylic Acid acts as a keratolytic agent, softening and removing the stratum corneum, while also having slight antiseptic and antifungal properties.

✔️ Dosage & Administration of Topiclo-S
- Adults: Apply a thin layer to the affected areas twice daily and rub gently. For some patients, less frequent application may be sufficient for maintenance. Discontinue once symptoms are controlled.
- Children: Not recommended for use in children under 12 years of age.
- Do not exceed 50g/week for longer than two consecutive weeks to avoid suppression of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis.
✔️ Overdose Effects: Topiclo-S
- Chronic misuse may cause hypercortisolism. Topical steroids should be discontinued gradually under medical supervision.
- Salicylic Acid poisoning can cause tinnitus, dizziness, and deafness, especially with large or prolonged use on extensive skin areas.
✔️ Side Effects of Topiclo-S
- Prolonged use of large amounts can lead to systemic absorption causing features of hypercortisolism (especially in children).
- Local atrophy after prolonged treatment.
- Irritation or drying from Salicylic Acid.
- Rare pustular psoriasis from corticosteroid use.
✔️ Drug Interaction
No known interactions with Clobetasol Propionate or Salicylic Acid. However, Salicylic Acid may increase the absorption of other topical medications, so avoid using it concurrently with other topical treatments on the same skin area.
✔️ Contraindications:
- Hypersensitivity to Clobetasol Propionate or Salicylic Acid.
- Primary bacterial or fungal skin infections unless treated with an anti-infective agent.
- Primary viral infections (e.g., herpes simplex, vaccinia, varicella).
- Tuberculous skin lesions.
- Dermatoses in children under one year, including diaper eruptions

- Pregnancy: Clobetasol Propionate can cause fetal abnormalities in animals, and its safety in humans has not been established. Use only if the benefit outweighs the risk.
- Lactation: The safety of Clobetasol Propionate during breastfeeding is not established. Use with caution.
- Salicylic Acid: No established safety during pregnancy and lactation. Use cautiously.
