Side Effects: While SSRIs (Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors) like Escitalopram are generally less sedating and have fewer antimuscarinic and cardiotoxic effects compared to tricyclic antidepressants, they can still cause some side effects. These may include gastrointestinal issues such as nausea, vomiting, dyspepsia, abdominal pain, diarrhea, and constipation.
