Indication of Frusin Oral Solution

  • Acute renal failure (including cases due to pregnancy or burns)

Pharmacology

Dosing Guidelines:

• Initial Dose: The usual starting dose is 40 mg daily. This can be taken as a single dose, either every day or on alternate days.
• Mild Cases:
  • Daily dose: 20 mg
  • Alternatively, 40 mg on alternate days may be sufficient for some patients.
• Resistant Edema:
  • Daily dose: 80 mg or higher.
  • This can be administered once or divided into two doses daily or intermittently, depending on patient response.
• Severe Cases:
  • Gradual dose titration may be necessary, potentially increasing the dose up to 600 mg daily.
• Maximum Dose:
  • The maximum recommended daily dose of Furosemide Syrup is 1,500 mg.

Interaction
