✔️ How does Suba I work?

Itracip 200 mg Capsule contains Itraconazole, an antifungal that works by inhibiting the production of ergosterol (a main component of the cell membranes of fungi). This weakens and damages the fungal cell membranes that are essential for their survival, as they prevent the entry of unwanted substances into the cells and stop the leakage of cell contents. Thus, it causes the main components of fungal cells to leak out, killing fungi and clearing the fungal infection.

✔️ Drug Warnings

Inform your doctor if you are allergic to Itracip 200 mg Capsule (Itraconazole) or any of its components.

Avoid taking fentanyl (a potent opioid painkiller) with Itracip 200 mg Capsule, as this combination may cause severe respiratory depression and, in extreme cases, can be life-threatening.

Do not use Itracip 200 mg Capsule if you have a history of heart failure, as it may lead to serious and potentially fatal cardiac side effects.

Discontinue the medication and seek immediate medical attention if you develop yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice), dark urine, pale stools, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, or unusual fatigue, as these could indicate liver failure.

✔️ Pregnancy & Lactation

Pregnancy and lactation: Itracip 200 mg Capsule is classified as Pregnancy Category C and may cause harm to the developing fetus. Pregnant or breastfeeding women, or those planning to conceive, should consult their doctor before use.

Patients with kidney, liver, heart, or lung disorders should inform their doctor prior to treatment.

✔️ Itraconazole is contraindicated in individuals with:

Known hypersensitivity to the drug or any formulation ingredient.

Severe hepatic impairment.

Concurrent use of rifampin, as it initially inhibits and later increases itraconazole metabolism, reducing its effectiveness.

✔️ Pregnancy and Lactation

Contraindicated during pregnancy, as itraconazole may cause fetal harm.

Breastfeeding is not recommended while taking Itracip 200 mg Capsule, as the drug may pass into breast milk and harm the nursing infant.

✔️ Precautions and Warnings

Reduced gastric acidity can impair itraconazole absorption.

If you are taking acid-neutralizing agents (e.g., aluminum hydroxide), administer them at least 2 hours after taking Itracip 200 mg Capsule.

The capsule should be taken after a full meal to enhance absorption.

Monitor liver function in patients receiving continuous therapy longer than one month, as rare cases of hepatitis and jaundice have been reported.
