Esocon 20 contains Esomeprazole, the S-isomer of Omeprazole, which is a proton pump inhibitor. It blocks the H⁺/K⁺ ATPase enzyme in the gastric parietal cells, the final step in gastric acid secretion. By inhibiting this enzyme, Esomeprazole significantly reduces gastric acidity, leading to relief from acid reflux symptoms and promoting ulcer healing.

Esocon 20 is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that effectively reduces stomach acid production. It is used for the treatment of heartburn, acid reflux, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), and peptic ulcer disease. It also helps heal and prevent stomach and duodenal ulcers caused by excessive acid or long-term NSAID use.
This medicine provides lasting relief from acid-related disorders by lowering acid secretion in the stomach, thereby promoting healing and comfort.
Symptoms: Headache, nausea, confusion, drowsiness, and tachycardia.
Management: Symptomatic and supportive care. No specific antidote.
Long-term use may increase the risk of bone fractures, vitamin B12 deficiency, and low magnesium levels.
Known hypersensitivity to Esomeprazole, other substituted benzimidazoles, or any formulation component.
Pregnancy Category: Data are insufficient, but available evidence with Omeprazole suggests no major fetal risk. Use only if clearly needed and prescribed by a physician.
Lactation: Small amounts may pass into breast milk. The benefits of therapy should be weighed against potential risks to the infant.
