Oranza Powder for Solution Box

Composition (per 5 gm sachet):

• Sodium Bicarbonate BP: 2.32 gm
• Citric Acid BP: 2.18 gm
• Sodium Carbonate BP: 0.50 gm

Pharmacology

This antacid works by neutralizing stomach acid and relieving symptoms of indigestion, hyperacidity, and flatulence. It acts locally in the stomach, so its systemic bioavailability and pharmacokinetics are not a concern. Sodium citrate formed during the reaction neutralizes acid and carbon dioxide is produced, which aids in eructation (burping) and relief.

Dosage & Administration of Oranza Powder for Solution

Adults and children (12 years and older): Dissolve 5 gm (1 sachet or 5 ml spoonful of powder) in a glass of water and drink as needed. A second dose may be taken after 2-3 hours.

• Minimum dosing interval: 2 hours
• Maximum daily dose: 10 gm (2 sachets)
• Maximum duration at the maximum daily dose: 14 days

Children under 12 years: Not recommended.

Elderly: Can follow the adult dosage.

Interactions

This antacid may affect the absorption of pH-dependent drugs taken simultaneously.

Contraindications

• Patients on a sodium-restricted diet (e.g., hypertension, congestive heart failure) should not use this product unless advised by a doctor.
• Patients with impaired hepatic or renal function or a known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients should avoid this product.

Pregnancy & Lactation

Caution is advised when using during pregnancy. Consult a healthcare provider before use.
