How does Pan D work?

• Domperidone stops vomiting. It increases the movement in the stomach and bowel so that acid does not flow back into the food pipe.
• Pantoprazole inhibits a pump called the proton pump in the stomach wall, responsible for the secretion of stomach acids for digestion, and leads to reduced acid production.

• Before starting Pan D, inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning on becoming pregnant, or breastfeeding. Also, inform your doctor about all other medicines that you take and your complete medical history.
• This medicine should preferably be taken before meals for optimum effectiveness.
• You can make certain lifestyle modifications like preventing excess intake of foods that cause acidity, like carbonated drinks and oily/fried food, regular exercise, and maintaining a healthy weight.

Symptoms of an overdose of Pan D capsule

Symptoms of an overdose of Pan D capsule include abnormal muscle movements, fits, aggressive behavior, drowsiness, slurred speech and anxiety. If you have taken too much of the medicine, then contact the doctor or visit the nearest hospital.

Dosage of Pan D capsule

• Take Pan D Capsule 15–30 minutes before meals or as advised by your physician.
• Swallow it as a whole with water; do not crush, break, or chew it.
• Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of therapy for you depending on your age, body weight, and disease condition.
• Do not stop taking Pan D Capsule unless your doctor advises you to stop.

Missed a Dose of Pan D capsule

If you have missed taking a dose of Pan D capsule, take it as soon as you remember. If it's time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with the regular dosing schedule. Avoid taking a double dose to compensate for the missed one.
