Lemodip 1.35 may be prescribed alone or in combination with other blood pressure-lowering medicines, depending upon your blood pressure levels. Inform your doctor if you are taking any other anti-hypertensive medicine. You may have common side effects like fatigue, ankle swelling, sleepiness, flushing (sense of warmth in the face, ears, neck, and trunk), headache, nausea, dizziness, palpitations, and abdominal pain that usually resolves after some time. You must closely monitor your blood pressure if you have ever had a stroke or heart attack or are currently taking other blood pressure-lowering pills. Treatment of High blood pressure (hypertension)
Lemodip 1.35 contains Levamlodipine a calcium channel blocker that acts by relaxing the blood vessels. This reduces the heart's workload and makes the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body. Thus, it helps to lower high blood pressure, reducing the chances of heart attack or stroke.
Lemodip is a calcium channel blocker used to treat hypertension, either alone or in combination with other antihypertensive agents. By lowering blood pressure, it reduces the risk of cardiovascular events, such as strokes and heart attacks.
Levamlodipine, the active component, is indicated for treating hypertension in adults and children aged 6 years and older. It works by inhibiting the influx of calcium ions into vascular smooth muscle and cardiac muscle, with a greater effect on vascular cells than heart cells. Lemodip 1.35, a racemic mixture, contains levamlodipine, which is the pharmacologically active isomer responsible for its antihypertensive effects.
