Adult Dose
Oral:

- Uncomplicated gonorrhea: 200 mg initially, then 100 mg every 12 hours for a minimum of 4 days.
- Syphilis: 200 mg initially, then 100 mg every 12 hours for 10-15 days.
Child Dose
Oral:
- Acne Vulgaris (under 12 years): Safety and efficacy not established.
- Immediate-release products: 4 mg/kg initially, then 2 mg/kg/day every 12 hours, not to exceed 400 mg/day.
- Extended-release tablets: 1 mg/kg once daily.
Renal Dose
- Reduce dose or increase dosing interval in renal impairment. Max: 200 mg/day.
Oral Administration: May be taken with or without food. Extended-release tablets should be swallowed whole.
