Take Sefur 500 as directed by your physician. It can be taken after meals for better absorption. Usually, it is prescribed for 7-10 days to attain better control of the infection. Therefore, do not stop taking this medicine or skip doses, as it may make this medicine less effective.
Sefur 500 is an antibiotic medicine used in the management of various bacterial infections such as infections of the respiratory tract, throat infections, skin infections, ear infections, sinus infections, lung infections, and urinary tract infections. It can also be used in the management of Lyme disease at its early stages.
Before taking Sefur 500, inform your doctor if you have kidney problems. You must also inform your doctor if you are allergic to any antibiotics, have previously experienced anaemia after taking antibiotics, are scheduled for any blood tests, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Sefur 500 contains cefuroxime, which is a second-generation cephalosporin that interferes with the synthesis of the bacterial cell wall by binding to specific binding proteins located inside the bacterial cell wall. This leads to breaking down the cell wall of the bacteria and reducing their stability, thus causing cell damage and eventually causing bacterial elimination.

- Take Sefur 500 as advised by your physician. It can be taken after meals for better absorption
- Swallow Sefur 500 with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine.
- Do not exceed the recommended daily dosages
- Do not stop taking or skip doses of Sefur 500 to achieve better control over infection
- Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, body weight, and severity of infection.
