Tiemonium Methylsulfate is the active ingredient in Visceralgine Tablet. Tiemonium Methylsulphate is an antispasmodic medication that relieves spasms in the intestine, biliary system, bladder, and uterus. It is used to treat pain caused by functional disorders of the digestive tract and biliary system. It is also used to treat spasms and pain in urological and gynecological diseases
Alcohol is known to cause excessive dizziness and if taken along with Visceralgine Tablet and increase uterine bleeding.

Tiemonium Methylsulphate is a competitive antagonist of Acetylcholine, Histamine and strengthens of calcium bonds with membrane phospholipids and proteins. Thus inhibits the intracellular contractile protein of visceral cells which causes inhibition of visceral spasms and pain.

Tiemonium methylsulfate tablet should not be used with other drugs without the prior consultation of a registered physician to avoid possible drug interaction
It should not be used in urethroprostatic disorder involving a risk of urine retension. It is contraindicated in patients with the risk of angle closure glaucoma.
Tiemonium Methylsulphate may have the risk of hypotension & tachycardia in certain individuals.
The results of animal studies of Tiemonium Methylsulphate did not reveal any teratogenic effects; no deformities have been reported up till now with normal use. In absence of sufficient data, prudence should be the rule for nursing mothers although no problems have been reported with normal use.
