Momelo Nasal Spray (Olopatadine and mometasone) combination nasal spray is used to treat symptoms (eg, stuffy or runny nose, itching, sneezing) of seasonal (short-term) allergic rhinitis (hay fever).
Olopatadine is an antihistamine. It works by preventing the effects of a substance called histamine, which is produced by the body. Histamine can cause itching, sneezing, runny nose, and watery eyes.
Mometasone belongs to the family of medicines known as corticosteroids (cortisone-like medicines). It works by preventing certain cells from releasing substances that cause an allergic reaction.

Momelo nasal spray may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.
Momelo nasal spray is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
