Indication of Purifen 200mg Tablet

Purifen 200 is a pain-relieving medicine used for the symptomatic treatment of pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis, painful menstruation, and other musculoskeletal or dental pain.

Pharmacology

Dexibuprofen, the active ingredient in Purifen, is the pharmacologically active enantiomer of racemic ibuprofen. It is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) with analgesic action that works by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis, thereby reducing inflammation and pain.

Dosage & Administration:

• Dosage: The dosage must be adjusted based on the severity of the condition and the patient’s symptoms.
  • General recommended dosage: 600-900 mg per day, divided into 2-3 doses.
  • Maximum dosage: Up to 1200 mg per day in cases of acute disorders or exacerbations.

Interaction
