Pharmacology of Lubric D Lubricant Eye Drops
Combination of Dextran and Hypromellose Dry, itchy, burning, and irritated eyes are soothed with eye drops that act like natural tears. It keeps eyes moist and healthy while also protecting them from irritation. This one-of-a-kind mix of chemicals works synergistically to keep moisture on the eye and reduce tear film evaporation.
Hypromellose improves corneal wetness by thickening and maintaining the precorneal tear film and lengthening the tear film breakup time, which is frequently decreased in dry eye patients. In addition, it lubricates and protects the eye. Dextran is a branched glucan with a complicated structure made up of chains of varied lengths. It is utilized as an antithrombotic in medicine.
Lubric D Lubricant Eye Drops Dosage & Administration
Adults and children: One or two drops three times daily or as directed by the physician.
Contraindications
This product contains Benzalkonium Chloride, which should be avoided when wearing soft contact lenses.
Side Effects
There are no known negative effects associated with its use; nevertheless, if the patient has a reaction in their eye or another part of their body after taking this medicine, they should seek medical advice.
