Pharmacology
Moxifloxacin's antibacterial activity is due to the inhibition of topoisomerase II (DNA gyrase) and topoisomerase IV. Topoisomerase IV is an enzyme that is involved in chromosomal DNA partitioning during bacterial cell division.

Eye irritation, pyrexia, conjunctivitis, impaired visual acuity, dry eye, ocular discomfort, ocular hyperemia, ocular pain, ocular pruritus, subconjunctival hemorrhage, and weeping are the most commonly reported ocular side effects in 1-6 percent of patients.
Pregnancy & Lactation
Because there are no good and well-documented studies in pregnant women, moxifloxacin should only be taken if the possible benefit justifies the potential risk to the fetus. Precautions & Warnings
Long-term use may promote the growth of non-susceptible organisms, such as fungi resistant to other anti-infectives.

Store away from light in a cool, dry location. Keep out of children's reach. Because touching the dropper tip to surfaces can contaminate the solution, avoid doing so. Do not use the dropper medicine beyond one month from the first opening.
