Treatment of Ear infections

Each ml of the clear, pyrogen-free otic solution contains:

• Ofloxacin BP 3 mg
• Clotrimazole BP 10 mg
• Beclomethasone Dipropionate BP 0.25 mg
• Lidocaine Hydrochloride BP 20 mg

Potential side effects include itching, burning, irritation, dryness, earache, headache, vertigo, dizziness, redness, and acneiform eruptions.

• Your doctor has prescribed Lidocaine + Clotrimazole + Beclometasone + Ofloxacin for the treatment of ear infections.
• Finish the prescribed dose even if you feel better as stopping the treatment earlier may reverse the symptoms.
• Do not touch the tip of the dropper, or of your ear to prevent contamination.
• Inform your doctor if you notice mild irritation in the ear, dizziness, headache, earache, or changes in taste may occur.

Indication of Otic-4 Sterile Otic Solution

Lidocaine+Clotrimazole+Beclometasone+Ofloxacin is used in the treatment of ear infections.

Pharmacology

This ear drop combines an antibacterial (Ofloxacin), antifungal (Clotrimazole), anti-inflammatory (Beclomethasone), and a local anesthetic (Lidocaine). Ofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone that effectively treats Gram-positive and Gram-negative otic pathogens without causing ototoxicity. Clotrimazole is a broad-spectrum antifungal that inhibits fungal growth, with additional antibacterial properties. Beclomethasone is a potent corticosteroid with anti-inflammatory properties, while Lidocaine acts as a local anesthetic to reduce pain and discomfort.

Dosage & Administration of Otic-4 Sterile Otic Solution

• Adults & Children: Instill 2-5 drops into the affected ear, 3-4 times daily for 7-14 days.
• Otitis Externa: From 6 months of age with an intact tympanic membrane.
• Chronic Suppurative Otitis Media: For children 12 years and older with a perforated tympanic membrane.

Interaction

If you have epilepsy, psychiatric or severe systemic illnesses, or kidney or liver problems, inform your doctor before taking Otic-4 Sterile Ear Drops.

Contraindications

This ear drop is contraindicated in patients allergic to Ofloxacin, quinolones, or any of the components. It should not be used in viral ear infections.

Precautions & Warnings

• If no improvement occurs within one week, discontinue use.
