Xoviral is an antiviral eye medication used to treat viral eye infections, particularly acute herpetic keratitis (dendritic ulcers) caused by herpes simplex virus (HSV). Xoviral contains Ganciclovir, which works by preventing the virus from multiplying. It inhibits viral DNA synthesis, thereby stopping the production of new viruses and allowing the eye infection to heal.
- Use Xoviral only for external eye application.
- Wash your hands before and after use.
- Apply the gel inside the lower eyelid without touching the eye or tube tip.
- Follow the dose and duration exactly as prescribed by your doctor.

Allergic to Ganciclovir or any of its components
Advised otherwise by your ophthalmologist due to specific medical conditions
