When applied topically, they form a barrier on the skin’s surface that helps lock in moisture and protect against external irritants. ✅ Description:
Emolent is recommended as a topical emollient for the symptomatic relief of dry skin conditions. It provides general moisturization and helps manage dry, flaky, or irritated skin.
- Apply a thin layer to the affected skin, following the direction of hair growth. Use as often as needed, ideally 3–4 times daily, but at minimum twice daily for best results.
- In adults treating extensive skin areas, up to 500g per week may be used.
- For topical use only.

Prolonged use may lead to folliculitis (inflammation of hair follicles). If this occurs, discontinue use and consult a healthcare provider.
✔️ Use During Pregnancy & Lactation
Although comprehensive safety data are lacking, the use of White Soft Paraffin and Liquid Paraffin during pregnancy and breastfeeding is not expected to pose a significant risk.
✔️ Overdose Effects:
Emolent has low systemic toxicity. If accidentally ingested, treatment should focus on supportive care. Do not perform gastric lavage due to the risk of aspiration into the lungs.
