Liquid Paraffin+White Soft Paraffin is prescribed for the treatment of eczema and related dry skin conditions. Eczema is a skin disorder that results in the inflammation of skin patches, leading to symptoms such as roughness, sores, itching, bleeding, dryness, peeling, cracking, and irritation. The condition is characterized by a loss of moisture in the skin.
This medication combines two active ingredients, liquid paraffin, and white soft paraffin, to address these skin issues.
Liquid paraffin functions by preventing the loss of water from the outer layer of the skin, thereby reducing dryness and leaving the skin hydrated and soft.
White soft paraffin forms an oily layer on the skin's surface, preventing water evaporation from the skin's surface and helping to maintain skin moisture.
To use Liquid Paraffin+White Soft Paraffin, it's important to follow your doctor's prescription, and you should continue using it for the duration recommended based on your medical condition. Common side effects of this medication include redness, irritation, and sensitization. Most of these side effects will resolve on their own and do not necessitate medical attention. However, if they persist or worsen, consulting your doctor is advisable.

Liquid Paraffin + White Soft Paraffin is a combination of liquid paraffin and white soft paraffin. Liquid paraffin is an emollient (a substance that soothes or softens the skin). It prevents water loss from the outer layer of the skin. This relieves dryness and leaves the skin hydrated and soft. White soft paraffin provides a layer of oil on the outer layer of the skin to prevent water from evaporating from the skin's surface.
White Soft Paraffin and Liquid Paraffin are primarily used as emollients to relieve dry skin conditions. These substances help in moisturizing and soften the skin when it becomes dry and rough.
White Soft Paraffin and Liquid Paraffin function as emollients with occlusive properties, making them suitable for topical application. These products are not significantly absorbed systemically, but they do have a notable penetrating effect on the outermost layer of the skin, known as the stratum corneum.
Apply a thin layer of the ointment to the affected area of the skin following the direction of hair growth as needed. The product can be reapplied as necessary, ideally three to four times a day or at least twice a day. For adults with widespread skin issues, up to 500 grams per week can be used. It's important to note that this product is intended for topical use only.
No interactions were found.
White Soft Paraffin and Liquid Paraffin should not be used by individuals who have a history of sensitivity reactions to any of the components present in the product.
The safety of using White Soft Paraffin and Liquid Paraffin during pregnancy and lactation has not been definitively established. However, usage during these periods is generally not considered to pose a hazard.
When applying this topical agent, it is recommended to follow the direction of hair growth to reduce the risk of developing folliculitis.
