Intimate 20 is a male erectile dysfunction medication. It increases blood flow to the penis, assisting men in obtaining an erection. It should be taken exactly as prescribed by your doctor.

✔️ Pharmacology

Tadalafil is a PDE5 inhibitor with a narrow therapeutic window. When PDE5 is inhibited, smooth muscle cells produce more cGMP. By relaxing smooth muscles and increasing blood flow to the corpus cavern sum, cGMP induces penile erection. PDE5 is also found in the smooth muscles of the prostate and bladder walls. PDE5 inhibition causes smooth muscle relaxation in the prostate and bladder by increasing cGMP levels. Smooth muscle relaxation may improve voiding by increasing blood flow to the urinary system and expanding the bladder neck opening.

Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia: 

• The recommended dose is 5mg taken at the same time every day.

Erectile Dysfunction: 

• For most patients, the recommended starting dose is Intimate 10 mg. The dose may be increased to 20 mg or decreased to 5 mg based on the requirement. The maximum dosing frequency is once daily. Tadalafil is effective for up to 36 hours.

Combined Erectile Dysfunction and Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia: 

• The recommended dose is 5 mg at the same time every day.

Take Intimate 20 in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Intimate 20 may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Simultaneous use of Beta-blockers increases the risk of hypotension; other erectile dysfunction medications, such as alprostadil, increase the risk of priapism; theophylline increases heart rate; CYP 3A4 inducers, such as rifampicin, efavirenz, carbamazepine, nevirapine, barbiturates, phenobarbital, phenytoin, and rifabutin, decrease the concentration of Potentially fatal: Nicorandil and nitrates have an enhanced hypotensive impact.

✔️ Contraindications

• Usage of nitrates, nitrate donors, and organic nitrates simultaneously Sexual activity is not advised for men with cardiac problems.
• A recent MI (within 90 days) or stroke (within the previous 6 months), hypotension (90/50 mm Hg), unstable angina, heart failure, uncontrolled arrhythmias, or hypertension are all indications of recent MI.

The USFDA has classified Intimate 20 as pregnancy category B. Tadalafil should only be used during pregnancy if the benefits exceed the risks. There is no information about Tadalafil excretion in human milk. When giving tadalafil to a breastfeeding mother, use caution.

Angina, renal impairment, hepatic impairment, and bleeding when using Nitrates, Alpha Blockers, Alcohol, CYP3A4 Inhibitors (such as Ritonavir, Ketoconazole, and Itraconazole), or other PDE5 inhibitors should all be avoided.
