FOLIC ACID+ZINC SULFATE:
Zinc Sulfate: A mineral essential for various bodily functions, including growth and tissue development, vision, immune function, bone metabolism, taste perception, wound healing, insulin production, blood clotting, and thyroid function.
Folic Acid: A form of Vitamin B that addresses folic acid deficiency and anemia by aiding in the formation of red blood cells and preventing DNA changes that could lead to cancer.
To ensure maximum nutrient absorption, avoid consuming alcohol along with ZnF Tablet.
ZnF Tablet is safe to use in pregnancy but consult your doctor before taking it.
ZnF Tablet is safe to use in breastfeeding but consult your doctor before taking it.
Consult your doctor if you feel any side effects during treatment with ZnF Tablet that may stop you from driving or using machines.
It is advised to seek a doctor's advice before starting ZnF Tablet if you have any kidney diseases. Your dosage may be adjusted, reduced, or omitted in case of renal dysfunction.
Let your doctor know if you have any history of liver diseases before taking ZnF tablets.
Folic acid: Necessary for nucleoprotein synthesis and maintaining normal erythropoiesis. It is converted into its active form, tetrahydrofolic acid, in the liver and plasma by dihydrofolate reductase. Folic acid is important for preventing neural tube defects in women of childbearing potential, and higher doses are needed during pregnancy.
Zinc: Acts as a cofactor in over 100 enzymes, plays a role in DNA synthesis, supports the immune system, helps maintain the sense of smell and taste, and may assist in proper insulin function.
Folic Acid and Zinc are generally well-tolerated at the recommended doses. However, some individuals may experience gastrointestinal disturbances like stomach pain, dyspepsia, nausea, vomiting, fever, and respiratory difficulties.
This is indicated as the prophylaxis and in the prevention of Zinc and Folic Acid deficiencies.
ZnF Tablet is likely a combination of Folic Acid and Zinc Sulfate Monohydrate. Zinc is an essential trace element crucial for human nutrition and is involved in numerous enzymatic processes in the body. Severe Zinc deficiency can lead to skin problems, hair loss, diarrhea, increased susceptibility to infections, cognitive impairment, and more. Folic Acid is part of the B-Vitamins group and is converted in the body to tetrahydrofolate, a coenzyme involved in various metabolic processes, including the synthesis of nucleotides (purine and pyrimidine) and DNA. It also plays a role in several amino acid conversions. Folic Acid deficiency can result in megaloblastic anemia, which can be caused by inadequate dietary intake, malabsorption, increased utilization (e.g., in pregnancy or conditions like hemolytic anemia), and exposure to folate antagonists.
Tablet/Capsule: 1-2 tablets/capsules daily.
Large amounts of Calcium can reduce the absorption of Zinc. No drug interactions have been reported for Folic Acid.
Individuals with a hypersensitivity to zinc should avoid this product. Folic acid is not recommended for people with untreated cobalamin (vitamin B12) deficiency.
ZnF Tablet is recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
In cases of concomitant illnesses (such as myocardial infarction, unconsciousness, infection, and trauma) and surgery, insulin should be substituted. Hypoglycemia can be caused by any oral blood glucose-lowering medication. To reduce the risk of hypoglycemia, repaglinide should be taken with meals.
Store below 30°C, away from light, and keep out of the reach of children.
