Indications
The tablet is suitable for the treatment and prevention of deficiency of folic acid and zinc.
Pharmacology
This product is a special preparation of folic acid and zinc sulfate monohydrate. Zinc is a trace mineral necessary for human nutrition and participates in various enzyme systems in the body. Severe zinc deficiency can cause skin damage, hair loss, diarrhea, increased susceptibility to infection, and cognitive impairment. Folic acid is a member of the BVitamins group. It is reduced to tetrahydrofolate in the body, which is a coenzyme for various metabolic processes, including the synthesis of purine and pyrimidine nucleotides, and the synthesis of DNA. It also participates in some amino acid conversions. Folic acid deficiency can lead to megaloblastic anemia. Megaloblastic anemia occurs when dietary intake is insufficient, such as malnutrition, malabsorption, increased utilization (such as pregnancy, hemolytic anemia, etc.) and taking folic acid antagonists.
Dosage & Administration
Orally 1 tablet daily or as directed by the physician.
Interactions
A large amount of calcium will reduce the absorption of zinc. In the case of folic acid, there are no reports of drug interactions.
Contraindications
People allergic to zinc should not use zinc. Folic acid is contraindicated in patients with untreated cobalamin deficiency.
Side Effects
Folic acid and zinc are well tolerated at recommended doses. Occasionally, gastrointestinal disorders such as abdominal pain, indigestion, nausea, vomiting, fever, and shortness of breath can occur.
Pregnancy
It is recommended to use during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Storage Conditions
Store at temperature of below 30°C, protect from light & moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
