Nizoder 2% Cream is an antifungal medication. It kills and stops the growth of the fungi by destroying their cell membrane, thereby treating your skin infection.
This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Clean and dry the affected area and apply the cream. Wash your hands after applying, unless your hands are the affected area.
As a wide range imidazole dioxolan, a synthetic antifungal agent, ketoconajol 2% shampoo changes cell membrane permeability and inhibits in vitro development of common dermatophytes and yeasts: Trichophyton rubrum, Trichophyton mentagrophytes, Trichophyton tonsurans, Microsporum canis, M. audouini, M. gypseum, and Epidermophyton floccosum; yeast: Candida albicans, Pityrosporum ovale, and C. The tropics; and Malassezia furfur, the organism accountable for ringworm. (Pityrosporum orbiculare).
The afflicted regions of skin or hair should be washed with ketoconazole 2% shampoo and kept on for 3 to 5 minutes before rinsing.
